SDA Names Michelle Radecki General Counsel,
Welcomes Helen Benz, Mary Ann Linder To Finance, Meetings Roles

WASHINGTON, D.C., December 7, 2006 – Michelle Radecki has been appointed General Counsel for The Soap and Detergent Association (SDA), the trade association home of the U.S. cleaning products and oleochemical industries.

Additionally, SDA has welcomed Helen Benz as Senior Director, Finance and Administration, and Mary Ann Linder as Meetings Manager.

Ms. Radecki has served as SDA Associate Counsel since 2002. Her duties include managing all of the Association’s legal affairs and providing legal guidance to SDA on pertinent laws, regulations and court decisions. SDA’s Board of Directors also elected her to serve as Corporate Secretary at its December meeting.

Radecki previously served as Legislative Counsel to former U.S. Rep. John J. LaFalce (D-NY) during his tenure as ranking member of the House Small Business Committee, providing advice on a wide range of legal issues. Prior to that, she was an attorney in the litigation department with the law firm Dempsey & Dempsey in Buffalo, New York.

Radecki graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Law, and magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and Legal Studies from SUNY Buffalo. She is a member of the New York State and District of Columbia Bars.

Helen Benz has served as a chief financial officer and vice president for finance and administration for several non-profit organizations, including the Centre for Development and Population Activities, the Society for Neuroscience and Counterpart International. She has a B.S. degree in accounting from Villanova University.

Mary Ann Linder comes to SDA with extensive meetings management experience in planning domestic and international meetings at APICS, The Association for Operations Management and the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association. Mary Ann is active in ASAE, MPI and PCMA. She has a B.A. degree from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, in international relations and politics, where she graduated with honors.
